如果把國足比作一部大戲的話 ，隨著李鐵的夹缝教练“下線” ，屬於李霄鵬的中走劇本將徐徐展開 。隻是马上命 ，大戲才剛剛開演 ，任李結局卻已不難預料 。霄鹏
此次國足換帥 ，恐怕李霄鵬並非唯一的难逃候選人 ，中國足協力薦的本土是U22國足的塞爾維亞籍主教練揚科維奇，李霄鵬則是沪媒總局欽點的 。上個月月底，夹缝教练當輿論對李鐵的中走口誅筆伐掀起滔天巨浪的時候，李霄鵬應邀前往北京 ，马上命與他會麵是任李體育管理部門相關負責人 。隨後 ，霄鹏李霄鵬有望接替李鐵出任國足主帥的消息傳出 。
12月3日下午 ，中國足協官宣接受李鐵的辭職請求 ，李霄鵬出任國足的新任主教練 。這則公告的內容並不意外 ，但公告發布的時間多少讓人覺得有點倉促 。此時距離國足解除在蘇州為期14天的隔離僅僅一天 ，陳戌源還在上海進行7天的自主健康監測，尚未與李霄鵬麵談 。而在一年多前 ，中國足協內部進行了重新分工，陳戌源自己主抓國家隊 。
顯然 ，在這一次換帥過程中 ，足協被邊緣化了 。無論是人選還是過程的推進 ，都是總局方麵在主導 ，這也使得整個換帥過程較之以往快了很多 ，或許可以算得上是國足曆史上最快的一次換帥。
在總局約見李霄鵬後 ，足協推出了揚科維奇 ，如今雙方是否真得達成了意見的統一 ？隨著總局在國足主帥敲定過程中的強勢介入 ，未來中國足協在國家隊的工作方麵到底扮演怎樣的角色？一個是選定自己的體育管理部門 ，一個是足球的直接管理部門 ，未來的執教過程中，李霄鵬要周旋於兩者之間 ，相當考驗其智慧和情商 。
對於本土教練而言 ，國足主帥這個位置又向來都像是坐在火山口上 。無論是老一代的朱廣滬還是中生代的高洪波 ，他們的國足主帥執教生涯最後均以失敗告終 ，就很能說明問題 。作為本土教練 ，免不了會有更多的人情和利益的羈絆 ，所麵臨的輿論環境也相對要複雜不少 ，這都會束縛其手腳 ，甚至影響到判斷 。而中國足球過去二十多年裏的幾次高光時刻，無一例外都是由外籍教練率隊完成的 ：米盧帶隊進軍韓日世界杯決賽圈；阿裏·哈恩率隊奪得了2004年亞洲杯亞軍；裏皮在上屆世預賽12強賽上差點帶隊力挽狂瀾……
李霄鵬能不能打破本土教練的宿命呢 ？從目前各方麵的環境和條件來看很難 。
