根據越位規則，操作出击凡進攻隊員較球更接近於對方球門線者，位凯无奈即為處於越位位置，恩太下列情況除外：a.該隊員在本方半場內；b.至少有對方隊員兩人比該隊員更接近於對方的球門線 。
通常，門將固守在門前 ，所以默認為不能比最後一名防守球員更靠近球門 。但此時 ，凱帕出擊且未回撤，比凱恩更靠近切爾西大門的隻有呂迪格一人，因此凱恩處於越位位置 ，進球無效 。
