在決定科曼繼續執教巴薩後 ，鲁伊巴薩一直在對球隊整體進行升級，夫转在先後收購阿圭羅 、投巴加西亞等球員之後 ，技术巴薩又將目光投向了深圳主帥克魯伊夫身上。官方北京時間6月3日晚間 ，深足萨任克魯伊夫來到巴薩辦公室，主帅职在與巴薩確定最後的小克細節之後 ，巴薩方麵正式簽約克魯伊夫 。鲁伊
在巴薩俱樂部的夫转主席競選期間 ，小克魯伊夫曾公然表態過支持拉波爾塔 。投巴自從拉波爾塔重新執掌巴薩以來 ，他就一直想得到小克魯伊夫的幫助，巴薩主席相信荷蘭人的足球視野以及管理經驗有助於新計劃的開展 。小克魯伊夫的職務不會是教練 、技術總監或體育總監 ，拉波爾塔將賦予他足球事務規劃等新的職責 。
上周，小克魯伊夫前往巴塞羅那與球隊高層會麵 ，雙方已接近達成協議。在經過一係列的談判後 ，他和平分手 ，提前結束合作關係 ，體麵的離開了中國並加盟了巴薩這個大家庭 。
在2010年掛靴後 ，小克魯伊夫先後擔任拉納卡（2010-12）和特拉維夫馬卡比（2012-17）的體育總監 ，後又先後擔任特拉維夫馬卡比（2017-18） 、重慶力帆（2018-19） 、厄瓜多爾（2020）和深圳隊（2020-21）的主教練 。
