2021賽季中乙聯賽計劃於5月初開賽 。中乙组出4月1日 ，首阶事分赛中國足協與職業聯盟籌備組舉行了中乙聯賽首階段賽事分組抽簽儀式，段赛队繼續應邀參賽的国青2001年齡段U20國青隊被分在鹽城賽區參加中乙比賽 。
中乙聯賽首階段賽事具體分組 ：
A組（都勻賽區） ：湖北青年星、赴盐紹興柯橋越甲 、城参西安駿狼 、中乙组出廣西平果哈嘹 、首阶事分赛內蒙古草上飛 、段赛队山西龍晉 、国青河北功夫 、赴盐丹東騰躍
B組（鹽城賽區） ：青島海牛 、城参昆明鄭和船工 、中乙组出陝西俑士超越 、首阶事分赛河北卓奧 、段赛队東莞莞聯 、宜春威虎 、無錫吳鉤 、中國U20
C組（瀘西賽區）：上海嘉定匯龍 、青島青春島 、青島紅獅 、湖南湘濤 、廈門鷺島 、四川民足、泉州亞新 、延邊龍鼎
