On Thursday afternoon, as efforts to to keep the government from a possible shutdown were in a tailspin thanks to President Trump's border wall funding demands, Trump promoted a bill signing with an old video of him and Megan Mullally singing the theme song to Green Acres. Thebit performed at the 2006 Emmy Awards.

Yes. That's the current sitting U.S. president promoting a bill signing for the "Agricultural Improvement Act" (meant to help farmers hit hard by Trump's ongoing trade dispute with China) with a video of him singing a television theme song filmed 12 years ago.
At least he remembered the "#TBT" hashtag, I guess.

The story includes a great quote from McConney when he learned Trump knew how to tweet himself, saying it "was comparable to the moment in Jurassic Parkwhen Dr. Grant realized that velociraptors could open doors ... I was like, 'Oh no.'"

That interview closed with McConney suggesting Trump "should go back to having more of a sense of humor about himself.”
Judging by the reactions across Twitter, maybe Trump should rethink how, exactly, he shows that humor.

For more of her feelings about that sketch, she addressed it all two years ago on theLate Show with Stephen Colbert.
As for Trump, part of the bit was played for the audience awaiting his arrival for the bill signing and he seemed all too happy to reminisce yet again. Not mentioned: that the Emmys appearance was apparently the first time he had ever seen overalls.
