“球隊（丟球後）的反應不夠好 ，這是一支習慣於在客場輸球的球隊的反應，我們需要去解決它 。心理因素是其中的一個因素 。足球運動是有彈性的 ，扭轉局麵的唯一辦法就是努力工作 ，然後情況就會有所轉變 。這不是來自於魔法 ，而是來自於工作 。”
蘭帕德將本場慘敗的技術原因歸結為個人失誤 ，“殘酷的失誤讓我們付出了代價 ，讓對手得以強大 。我們在15到20分鍾的時間裏踢得很舒服 ，個人失誤導致了丟球 ，讓比賽脫離了我們的掌控 。在0-2或者0-3落後的時候 ，這就會變得很艱難 。”
