作為升班馬 ，西班牙人在本賽季西甲聯賽的成績為2勝3平3負 ，此前他們唯一的一場勝利是主場1-0小勝阿拉維斯 。武磊表示 ：“昨天確實比較興奮 ，雖然說是這個賽季的第二場勝利 ，但相比第一場含金量確實不一樣 ，所以更衣室所有人都非常興奮 ，隊友、教練……也包括球迷。昨天確實也是球迷最多的一場 ，因為慢慢隨著疫情好轉 ，看台也在逐漸開放 ，所以昨天球迷們也給我們很多的鼓勵 。”
武磊還談到了自己替補出場後教練對自己的要求 ：“因為我上去的時候已經2-0領先 ，所以首先是做好防守 ，然後最主要還是利用我的特點 ，還是希望有時間、或者有機會利用自己前插的特點能夠去尋找一些機會 。但是2-0之後，肯定對手是全力進攻 ，所以更多可能在比賽中還是防守做的多一點 。”
