作為奪冠熱門的法國，在歐洲杯1/8決賽就早早被淘汰了 。法国近日，出局英格蘭名宿魯尼在《泰晤士報》的对于專欄上也談到了高盧雄雞 ，他認為博格巴依然是博格巴遗本屆賽事的最佳選手 。
魯尼表示：“和很多人一樣 ，憾本我也認為法國人是届最佳球冠軍，作為一支球隊 ，鲁尼他們令人失望 。法国這對博格巴來說是出局一個遺憾 ，在他們出局之前 ，对于博格巴一直是博格巴遗本屆賽事的最佳球員 ，他給本澤馬、憾本姆巴佩送上的届最佳球那些傳球都令人難以置信。”
“讓坎特作為他的鲁尼中場搭檔對他很有幫助，我認為博格巴表現得出色 ，是因為位置發生了變化 。在曼聯可以看到他通常退得更深 ，在法國他有了更大的自由度傳接球 。隻要給博格巴足夠的空間 ，他的創造力可以做到真正威脅對手 ，姆巴佩在整屆杯賽的表現都不佳 ，但他在前場的跑動 ，的確給博格巴提供了很好的傳球點。”
