在新賽季開始前的中超最後一場熱身賽中 ，憑借上下半場彭欣力和楊旭的临近進球 ，申花2∶0戰勝中甲球隊昆山FC 。开赛
對於主教練崔康熙而言 ，崔康這場比賽最大的熙严旭找收獲是前鋒終於進球了 。前3場熱身賽 ，防战申花打入的术泄5球全部來自於中場隊員 ，其中曹贇定獨中兩元 ，密杨莫雷諾 、到进於漢超和阿德裏安各入一球 。球感這不禁讓人對鋒線的中超狀態比較擔憂 ，一旦前鋒遲遲不進球 ，临近球隊的开赛戰鬥力勢必會受到影響 。
球隊的崔康最後一場熱身賽，久違的熙严旭找進球終於來了 ，楊旭在比賽下半時打入一球 ，將比分定格在2∶0。上賽季加盟申花之後 ，楊旭在聯賽中一無所獲 。不過 ，在崔康熙看來 ，楊旭就差捅破最後一層進球的窗戶紙 。熱身賽的這粒進球 ，或許能讓楊旭找回久違的進球感覺，在即將到來的聯賽中找到進球感覺 。
隨著昨天與昆山FC比賽的結束 ，申花的集前熱身告一段落 。4場熱身賽 ，申花2勝1平1負 ，打入7球 ，丟5球 。最後一場熱身賽 ，球隊終於實現零封對手 。
由於臨近聯賽 ，崔康熙更為重視保密工作 。除了比賽在康橋基地內封閉進行外 ，崔康熙還要求所有人不得向外界透露任何比賽細節 。
4月19日，申花將進駐蘇州賽區 ，正式開啟2021新賽季。根據賽程安排，申花將在4月23日迎來新賽季的首戰，對手是北京國安 。
