下個月，申花身赛2021賽季的全力足協杯正賽將開打。自9月1日結束假期重新集中後 ，备战杯申花一直在康橋基地全力備戰 ，足协周休力爭在足協杯上取得好成績 。息天
受疫情的已敲影響 ，本賽季的定两足協杯正賽仍不會恢複主客場賽製 。據目前的场热最新消息 ，濟南 、申花身赛大連、全力長春和梅州有可能會承辦接下去的备战杯比賽 。正賽首輪很可能會在10月13日進行 ，足协周休第二輪安排在10月18日 ，息天這兩輪都是已敲單場淘汰的賽製 。隨後的定两8進4和半決賽 ，都是兩回合比賽 ，最終的決賽會被安排在中立場地 。正賽的抽簽儀式計劃於中秋節後進行 ，屆時賽程以及比賽地會最終敲定。
聯賽意外跌入保級組後 ，足協杯成了申花本賽季最為重要的賽場 。最近幾年 ，申花足協杯的戰績一直不錯 ，曾在2017年和2019年奪得足協杯的冠軍 。跟廣州隊 、北京國安等國腳大戶球隊比起來 ，申花出戰足協杯的陣容相對還算齊整。目前主力隊員中僅吳曦 、朱辰傑和巴索戈有國家隊的比賽任務 ，缺席球隊本階段的備戰集訓 。
雖然接下去的賽程尚未完全明確 ，不過申花並沒有放鬆訓練 。據了解，球隊每周一到周六都安排了訓練 ，隻有周日休息 ，其中周二和周五均為一天兩練 。本月下旬開始，申花也會約一些熱身賽 ，從而讓球員逐漸找回比賽的感覺 。目前已經確定的兩場熱身賽分別是9月26日和9月29日對陣天津津門虎 。
