皇馬、巴薩和尤文 ，顯然也不會坐以待斃。當地時間5月31日 ，歐超就以歐足聯和國際足聯違反歐盟競技法為由 ，將這兩大足壇權力機構告上了歐洲法院。目前，歐洲法院已經受理了該案件。
如果皇馬、巴薩、尤文真在本周被逐出歐冠的話 ，這三隊必然要進行上訴。弗洛倫蒂諾就曾明確表態稱 ，他早就谘詢過律師 ，歐足聯無權將歐超球隊逐出歐冠。如果歐足聯真這樣做了 ，歐超球隊完全可以通過法律途徑贏得這場官司。而在法院審理期間，歐足聯的處罰很可能會暫停，以等待最終結果 。這也就意味著，至少在下賽季中 ，歐超三隊不太可能無法出現在歐冠賽場上 。
