米蘭金融警察部門副檢察官毛裏齊奧-羅馬內利表示 ：“作為檢察官調查行動的国米官突一部分 ，米蘭金融警察部門在國米總部的涉嫌辦公室內調查了一些文件 。”而檢察官裏卡爾多-塔爾戈蒂補充說 ：“正在進行的转会中做遭意調查活動旨在獲取國米俱樂部在2017-18賽季和2018-19賽季財年部分球員轉會的相關文件 ，以核實財會核算和相關資本收益的假账检察击搜性質 。”
據意大利媒體《足球金融》透露 ，大利在這兩個賽季中 ，国米官突國米通過替補球員和青年隊球員的涉嫌轉會獲取了大約9000萬歐元的收益 。其中2017-18賽季 ，转会中做遭意國米出售了15名球員，假账检察击搜獲得4970萬歐元收益 。大利而2018-19賽季 ，國米出售8名球員獲得4010萬歐元收益 。同時在這兩個賽季 ，國米也引進了不少強援 ，其中的埃裏克森 、巴雷拉 、勞塔羅等人都是上賽季國米奪得意甲冠軍的重要球員 。
在接受檢察官調查取證後 ，國米俱樂部發表官方聲明對此進行了澄清 ：“國米俱樂部確認已經向有關部門提供了2017-18賽季和2018-19賽季某些球員交易的相關文件 。米蘭檢察官辦公室收到了要求核實相關資本收益定期核算的請求 ，俱樂部的財報是按照最嚴格的財會規則編製的。目前沒有國米員工正在接受調查 ，也沒有正式指控 ，正如檢察官此前聲明中所說的 ，這隻是初步調查 。”
值得一提的是 ，近期意大利檢方正在對足球界的財務造假事件進行針對性調查 。除了國米之外 ，尤文圖斯 、那不勒斯、亞特蘭大 、桑普多利亞、熱那亞這幾家意甲俱樂部也受到了相關調查 。
