7月28日，曼聯在官網宣布與皇馬達成協議 ，瓦拉內將會加盟曼聯 ，曼聯方麵表示所有的轉會條款都已經敲定，球員將進行體檢後正式加盟 。英國媒體《每日郵報》的消息稱 ，本周二 ，瓦拉內乘坐自己的奔馳汽車抵達曼聯訓練營 ，接受了第一部分的體檢 ，而在當地時間周三會完成第二部分的體檢 。體檢結束後 ，瓦拉內也會曼聯正式簽約 。
曼聯跟隊記者拉克胡斯特表示，瓦拉內已通過曼聯的體檢 。這名記者在推特中寫道 ：“曼聯應該會將瓦拉內加盟的官宣公告推至明天。球員已經通過了體檢，拍完了官宣照 ，並且接受了俱樂部官媒的采訪 。據透露，他會選擇一個沒有被其他球員占用的號碼 。”
本周六 ，曼聯會在英超聯賽中對戰利茲聯 ，而紅魔希望在周五前完成瓦拉內在英超的注冊 。而根據《每日郵報》的消息 ，在當地時間周三 ，瓦拉內也將會與曼聯一起訓練。
