從數據統計來看 ，巴黎隊優勢明顯，全隊總共18次射門 ，遠遠高於摩納哥的4次 ，控球率方麵巴黎以67%遙遙領先，此外在其他關鍵數據，諸如危險進攻、傳球成功率 、傳中成功率、傳球次數等都是大幅領先對手 ，不過就是在這樣的情況下 ，巴黎還是沒有能夠拿下比賽 ，著實讓人唏噓不已 。縱觀全場比賽 ，巴黎聖日耳曼的機會是相當的多 ，不過姆巴佩浪費機會的能力也是相當了得 。
全場比賽姆巴佩一人就有9次射門 ，射門次數是全隊的一半 ，但是在明知自己狀態不好的情況下，依然不斷地浪射 ，哪怕梅西等隊友的機會更好 ，可是姆巴佩還是毫不猶豫地選擇自己單幹 。第48分鍾 ，梅西在左路一腳直塞給了姆巴佩 ，隨後梅西順勢插上 ，同時示意姆巴佩傳球 ，麵對無人防守的梅西 ，姆巴佩看了一眼 ，最終還是選擇自己射門 ，皮球直接被對方門將沒收。
第72分鍾相同的一幕再次出現，巴黎發動反擊 ，姆巴佩前場持球進攻 ，在禁區前沿 ，中路獲得大空檔的梅西再次要球 ，然而讓人出乎意料的是 ，麵對3位防守球員封堵 ，姆巴佩仍然沒有傳球給近在咫尺而且無人防守的梅西 ，最終姆巴佩還是自己打了一腳高射炮 。見到這一幕 ，前場的隊友 ，要麽低下頭 ，要麽回頭看到底是誰射的門 ，而梅西最真實 ，他先是靜靜地看著，似乎有點不敢想象發生了這樣一幕 ，隨後用手摸了摸額頭 ，同時無奈轉身。對於梅西一次次地跟著折返跑 ，很多球迷直呼梅西還是走吧 ！
