不久之前，伊布育总伊布接受了法國《隊報》的建议监采訪 。伊布透露姆巴佩曾就其未來問題向神塔求助 ，姆巴盟皇马想伊布的佩加建議是勸說姆巴佩加盟皇馬。

“一切都取決於姆巴佩是怎麽想的 ，如果我是他 ，我會去皇馬 。”伊布繼續說道 ，“如果我是巴黎聖日耳曼的人 ，那我會盡量留住他 。一切由他來決定 ，巴黎當然想讓他留下來 ，但他想要留下來嗎？除了皇馬之外 ，還有其他球隊想要姆巴佩 。如果身為主帥有機會得到姆巴佩卻不為此而努力 ，那這位教練就純屬是入錯行了 。”
伊布已經40歲了，他表示退役後的目標之一是成為巴黎體育總監 ：“未來 ，我希望能成為巴黎體育總監 。巴黎每天都在變得更強大 ，這是他們的規劃 。如果他們沒能實現這些目標 ，那隻能說明他們沒做好自己的工作 。在一支充滿天賦的球隊執教 ，或者管理巴黎這種俱樂部 ，都不是容易的事情 。在我看來 ，巴黎正在做著他們必須要做的事情 。”
伊布還談到了效力巴黎的兩名意大利國腳：“在我看來，多納魯馬是當今的最佳門將 。我不知道門將輪換製是不是好事 ，還是說這隻是想要幫助其中的某一個人 。無論如何 ，我已經習慣於看到首發門將是固定人選了 。關於多納魯馬 ，沒什麽可爭議的 ，他是世界最佳門將 。我們合作過 ，我清楚自己在說什麽。維拉蒂 ？他能掌控比賽，他能拿住球，從來不會丟失球權。維拉蒂不害怕傳球 ，也不害怕主動要球 。”
