北京時間6月7日，官方根據歐足聯官網公布的森西消息 ，國米中場森西因傷退出意大利國家隊 ，因伤意取而代之的退出是亞特蘭大中場的佩西納。
此前 ，利国佩西納落選了意大利國家隊的家队歐洲杯26人大名單 ，但是佩西他並沒有離開集訓基地 ，而是纳入一直留在基地訓練 ，以防有球員突然受傷。官方
據報道，森西森西是因伤意在上周四的國家隊訓練中受傷 ，導致了內收肌拉傷複發 ，退出經過檢查 ，利国確認他沒有辦法趕在歐洲杯揭幕戰之前恢複 ，家队最終無緣本屆歐洲杯 。佩西經過綜合考慮 ，意大利國家隊決定向歐足聯提交換人文件 。
