北京時間11月14日，在世界杯預選賽歐洲區D組的马和姆巴比賽中 ，法國坐鎮王子公園球場主場，佩水8-0大勝哈薩克斯坦 ，乳交融最並憑借此一役提前出線 ，重法正式進軍2022卡塔爾世界杯。本泽賽後 ，马和姆巴本場比賽梅開二度的佩水皇馬前鋒本澤馬接受了媒體的采訪 。
本澤馬並非此役最大功臣，乳交融最姆巴佩4射1傳風光無限 。重法由於此前歐洲杯上姆巴佩 、本泽吉魯 、马和姆巴本澤馬 、佩水格列茲曼等球員卷入內訌門事件 ，乳交融最人們對法國隊鋒線組合之間的重法關係依然保持著充足的好奇，而本澤馬對此的態度與此前無異 ，力挺小老弟姆巴佩 。
本澤馬表示 ：“我們（我和姆巴佩）已經用球場上的表現證明了，我們是相容的。我們可以在球場上默契搭檔並且拿出好的表現來，在追求進球的同時 ，更是為團隊踢球。很高興能像以前那樣踢球 ，最重要的是幫助球隊取得了勝利 。”
本場比賽的梅開二度 ，使得皇馬前鋒超越前輩特雷澤蓋 ，以35球成為法國隊隊史排行第五的射手 ，對此 ，本澤馬表示：“我為此而感到自豪 ，特雷澤蓋是個傳奇 ，在進球數字上超越他讓我很開心，但如我先前所說 ，最重要的是能夠幫助球隊取得勝利 。”
