此前曼聯一度考慮邀請孔蒂執教 ，但最終高層決定繼續支持索爾斯克亞 ，而孔蒂則已經成為熱刺主帥。博爾特稱：“我想要孔蒂 ，他會在熱刺做得很好 ，會把球隊組織起來 。孔蒂在切爾西贏得過冠軍 、在國米贏得過冠軍 、在尤文贏得過冠軍 ，無論他到哪裏執教 ，都能很好地組織球隊 。明年1月他可能會得到一兩名新球員，然後在賽季結束時 ，他就會找到合適的球員並引進他們 。”
博爾特如今已經退役，而他回顧了自己在2008年北京奧運會100米奪冠的經曆，當時他在鞋帶鬆了的情況下依然輕鬆奪冠並打破世界紀錄。“人們開始談論這件事 ，而我之後去看了錄像 。人們說的鞋帶鬆開了 ，我甚至都沒有注意到 ，而那可能會讓我出錯 。我認為2008年奧運會是我職業生涯中訓練最艱苦的時期 ，我工作那麽努力 ，因為我非常想要奪得金牌 。那是一種純粹的快樂 ，我做到了 ，我永遠不會忘記那一刻 。”
