據悉，收入梅西過去一年收入達到了1.27億美元 ，榜梅其中包括9100萬美元的西压工資和3500萬美元的商業代言收入，巴塞羅那球王在榜單上僅次於麥克格雷戈 ，全球前排在體壇收入榜第二位；梅西的第内宿敵C羅，以1.2億美元 ，挤进排在第三位 ，体坛與阿根廷球星相比 ，葡萄牙人的工資低一些 ，僅為7000萬美元 ，但商業代言收入則高達5000萬美元，是足壇商業收入最高的球員，這足以證明他在商業號召力上完勝梅西。
在巴黎聖日耳曼踢球的內馬爾 ，以1億美元的收入，排在體壇收入榜第六位 ，工資比C羅還高，達到7500萬美元 ，是足壇薪水第二高的球員 ，僅次於梅西 ，商業代言收入為2500萬美元 。在前十的榜單裏，還有其他知名運動員 ，NBA巨星勒布朗-詹姆斯 ，以1.08億美元的收入 ，排在第五位 。網壇巨星費德勒以8400萬美元的收入，排在第七位，杜蘭特和庫裏 ，分別排在第九和第十，收入為8010萬美元和7450萬美元 。
