薩拉赫上賽季狀態非常的赫已和马好 ，在所有賽事中衛紅軍出戰51場 ，告知攻入了31個進球 。密友但與此同時他與利物浦的加盟續約也一直在進行並擱置著 ，並不順利 ，巴萨這使得他與安菲爾德的底搭合同隻剩下了12個月。
據稱薩拉赫明年可能會以自由球員的身份離開利物浦 ，而巴薩可以免簽下這位現年29歲的高產射手 。
報道稱 ，薩拉赫此前曾告知他的密友，他準備與利物浦續約，然而突然來了一個“180度大轉彎” ，告知其將在明年夏天與巴薩簽約 。也有報道稱 ，巴薩方麵已經向薩拉赫提供了口頭協議，而這是導致埃及人拖延與紅軍續約的主要原因 。
薩拉赫在歐冠決賽再次輸給皇馬前表示 ，他下賽季將肯定留在利物浦 。這名前鋒說的是他計劃繼續旅行他的合同 ，但是並沒有回答他是否續約的問題 。
薩拉赫上個月說過 ：“在我看來 ，我目前並不關注合同 。我並不自私 ，這是關於球隊最重要的一周 。我想再次贏得歐冠，我想看到亨德森手捧獎杯 ，然後滿懷希望的把他傳遞給我。我下個賽季肯定會留下來 ，這很清楚 。”
一個有趣的事情是，馬內今夏被與轉會拜仁緊密的聯係在了一起 ，而拜仁的當家前鋒萊萬多夫斯基則有可能轉投巴薩 ，因此在德媒給出的下賽季拜仁陣容猜想中，萊萬將與馬內搭檔鋒線 ，而在西媒給出的下下賽季巴薩陣容猜想中 ，萊萬的身邊則換成了薩拉赫 。盡管克洛普與波蘭前鋒私交甚篤 ，但鑒於利物浦一貫的轉會政策 ，英媒倒是沒有排出萊萬薩拉赫馬內的荒唐陣容。
