在本場比賽的補時階段 ，曼聯原本有機會通過點球扳平比分，但紅魔中場核心B費卻一腳踢飛了點球 。另外 ，C羅在本場比賽中也沒有取得進球 ，這是他回歸曼聯以來首次在比賽中沒有完成破門。雖然C羅在索爾斯克亞治下狀態非常好，但很顯然，球隊的成績與他的表現不匹配。

值得一提的是 ，本場比賽的點球主罰手並非C羅 ，而是他的葡萄牙同胞B費 。對此 ，曼聯球迷們也是很驚訝 。在賽後接受采訪時 ，索爾斯克亞表示 ，點球主罰手是在賽前就已經確認好了的 。自2020年1月份加盟曼聯之後 ，B費就漸漸成為了曼聯的點球主罰手 ，而他的點球命中率也很高 ，於是索爾斯克亞選擇信任這名27歲的中場球員。索帥還暗示 ，C羅和B費將會交替主罰點球 。
對於C羅賽後這番鼓舞人心的言論 ，曼聯有機會在下周中的歐冠比賽中予以回應。歐冠小組賽第二輪，曼聯將主場迎戰比利亞雷亞爾 。在上賽季的歐聯杯決賽中 ，曼聯在點球大戰中不敵黃潛 ，無緣捧杯 。
