解憂館的鎮館神獸麒麟消失不見,林東(楊添皓飾)利用時光穿梭機回到過去守護麒麟,但時空發生錯亂,林東的父親林大民(宋曉峰飾)失去記憶,不再認識自己的兒子 。林東在調查解憂館麒麟消失的东北真相的同時,了解到了父親對自己的苦心,深刻反省自己的冷漠,下定決心要幫父親找回記憶……
影片中多處林大民與兒子林東的日常互掐情節,父親林大民手持鐵鍋當街追打親兒子、父子東北話對話狂甩包袱等,峰失笑果十足 。除此之外,忆寻在原汁原味體現東北地方特色方麵,影片也是誠意滿滿,父子在熙熙攘攘的路邊攤烹飪鍋包肉、去公共澡堂子搓澡等,解忧為觀眾展現出具有東北特色的日常生活,也為故事的推進營造了溫情氛圍。
