在最佳球員的候選者中 ，利物浦的进球齊米卡斯幫助紅軍3-3戰平本菲卡晉級 ，他在比賽中防守貢獻良多，最佳最佳9次反搶成功 ，魔笛芒特重要性甚至超過了本場梅開二度的领大莱万菲爾米諾 。
曼城入選的铁卫球員為斯通斯 ，同樣是进球憑借出色的防守能力入圍 ，斯通斯的最佳最佳傳球成功率高達96% 。
皇馬入選者並非狀態火爆的魔笛芒特本澤馬 ，而是领大莱万中場指揮官莫德裏奇。除了貢獻了一次精準助攻之外 ，铁卫魔笛本場跑動距離達到了13.72km，进球傳球成功率竟達到了90% 。
黃潛的入選者為後衛阿爾比奧爾 ，8次奪回球權。
