北京時間10月28日 ，越南當地時間11月11日和11月16日 ，队队待主越南隊將分別在主場對陣日本和沙特。长期场观近日在接受越南媒體“baonghean”采訪時 ，众观战月越南隊隊長桂玉海（Quế Ngọc Hải）表示，双赛主場優勢非常重要 ，目标接下來兩場比賽的积分目標是獲得積分 。
被問及對11月份兩場比賽的越南期待 ，桂玉海表示 ：“經過四場比賽 ，队队待主從結果來看 ，长期场观很明顯整個球隊都沒有取得最好的众观战月成績 。這也是双赛意料之中的 ，球隊也為當前的目标困難做好了準備。重要的积分是全隊在場上表現出來的 ，尤其是越南努力拚搏 ，不回饋的精神和態度……這是越南隊爭取首次入圍世界杯決賽圈的先決條件 。我們對抗的都是亞洲級別的頂級球隊 ，所以經驗問題很重要。希望在目前備戰的重心下 ，第二回合全隊能取得更好的成績 。目前我們的目標仍然是發揮出色 ，展現出越南精神 ，獲得積分 。”
此次主場迎戰日本隊和沙特阿拉伯隊的比賽，越南隊的主場將會對外開放 ，被問及麵對大量觀眾時的感受 ，桂玉海表示 ：“在過去的四場比賽當中 ，越南隊的表現已經非常出色 ，粉絲們也給出了很積極的評價 。我代表全隊感謝一直為越南隊加油和鼓勵的球迷們。我個人希望觀眾能夠到場觀看越南隊的比賽 ，我也相信觀眾們都等待著可以金行觀賽 ，尤其是在與亞洲頂級對手比賽時 ，能夠在主場與觀眾一起比賽對球隊在即將到來的比賽中是一個很大的優勢 ，對於球員來說絕對是一個很大的動力來源。我們向球迷承諾會永遠為國旗而戰 ，爭取取得更好的成績 。”
