正在卡塔爾備戰12強賽第三輪比賽的结束阿曼國家隊9月30日在卡塔爾大學訓練場與卡塔爾的部隊足球隊進行了一場熱身賽 ，結果以2比1險勝。最后至此 ，场热阿曼隊在多哈的结束拉練集訓第一階段已經全部結束 。球隊在進行一天的最后休整之後將進入最後的衝刺階段。
阿曼國家隊是场热9月21日從馬斯喀特抵達多哈展開備戰 ，並一直在卡塔爾大學訓練場展開訓練 。结束在9月26日 ，最后阿曼隊曾與尼泊爾隊進行了一場熱身賽 ，场热結果以7比2取得大勝 。结束但由於對手相對較弱 ，最后熱身賽並無太多的场热參考價值 ，對阿曼隊而言也就隻是结束進行了一堂進攻練習課而已 。由於卡塔爾國內聯賽正在進行 ，最后俱樂部球隊並不願意與阿曼隊熱身 ，场热因而阿曼隊最終確定在9月30日與卡塔爾的部隊足球隊進行一場熱身賽 。這個部隊足球隊也就是在卡塔爾部隊中服役的軍人所組成的足球隊 ，也是一支業餘球隊 。
在本場熱身賽中，阿曼隊主教練伊萬科維奇將阿曼隊所有球員一分為二 ，上半時一個陣容、下半時換一套陣容 ，讓所有球員有機會出場熱身 。在上半時比賽進行至第11分鍾時 ，曾在對陣日本隊比賽中攻入致勝一球的伊薩姆·薩布希率先為阿曼隊打破場上僵局，令阿曼隊以1比0領先 。但在第37分鍾時 ，卡塔爾部隊足球隊將比分追平。上半時結束 ，雙方以1比1言和。
易邊後 ，阿曼隊完全更換了一套陣容 。第74分鍾時 ，哈雷布·薩迪為阿曼隊攻入了致勝一球，幫助阿曼隊最終以2比1戰勝對手。
本場熱身賽結束之後 ，阿曼隊在多哈集訓的第一階段就此結束。本來按照最初的計劃 ，在9月30日的熱身賽結束之後 ，阿曼隊定於10月1日啟程從多哈直飛悉尼 ，參加對陣澳大利亞隊的客場比賽 。但因澳大利亞隊依然無法返回主場作賽，10月7日與阿曼隊的比賽將依然選擇在多哈進行，這使得阿曼隊有機會可以在原地進行調整 。按照計劃 ，阿曼隊將從今天(2日)開始，轉入下一階段準備 ，為迎戰澳大利亞隊進行最後衝刺 。
