《每日體育報》則報道稱 ，巴薩願意與登貝萊簽下兩年短約 ，這有利於球員本人更好地決定自己的未來 。如果登貝萊在諾坎普又不開心了，他可以在明年夏天以相對較低的轉會費離隊 ，因為屆時他將進入合同年。在最糟糕的情況下 ，登貝萊也可以在2024年夏天自由轉會離開諾坎普。
巴薩為登貝萊開出短約的前提 ，是法國人放棄續約獎金 。從目前情況來看 ，這恰恰是最大的問題所在 。登貝萊一直表示他希望留在巴薩 ，但其經紀人西索科卻一直表示他要為球員謀求最優厚的合同 。名記費爾南多-波羅指出，即便登貝萊留在巴薩 ，西索科也仍然想要拿到一大筆傭金 。除非西索科降低要價或登貝萊幹脆更換經紀人 ，否則法國人續約巴薩的可能性仍然微乎其微 。
