來自《Calcio e Finanza》的最新消息，國際足聯準備按照此前提出過的“球員保護計劃” ，承擔埃裏克森的部分薪水 ，而且額度最多高達750萬歐元 。據悉 ，國際足聯此前提出的俱樂部2019-2022年保護計劃 ，旨在為俱樂部和球員提供雙向的保護。一方麵 ，如果參加國家隊比賽的球員受傷，並導致受傷休養超過28天 ，將向俱樂部賠償相應的受傷費用 。一方麵 ，球員的薪水也有支付的保障。
作為本屆杯賽的最大傷員 ，埃裏克森的情況也符合這個政策 。因此 ，埃裏克森最高可以得到750萬歐元的受傷補償費用 。其中 ，受傷期間每日的最高賠償標準達到約20548歐元 ，最多可連續賠付365天（一整年）。
不過，即便國際足聯願意啟動該計劃補償國米和埃裏克森 ，但最高也隻可能達到750萬歐元 。要知道，埃裏克森在國米的年薪近千萬歐元（750萬固定年薪加150萬浮動獎金） ，而且合同到2024年夏天才到期 。因而 ，一旦埃裏克森真的被判定無法繼續進行高強度的比賽和訓練 ，藍黑軍團肯定也要為如何支付埃裏克森剩餘的合同薪水而發愁。
