北京時間3月30日淩晨 ，曼城英超豪門曼城在官方推特上宣布 ，官方隊內的宣布夏离前鋒阿圭羅會在本賽季結束後離隊 ，結束自己10年的阿圭藍月亮生涯 。阿圭羅也特意更新了自己的罗今社交網絡媒體向球迷告別。據悉 ，队视德为第替阿圭羅的哈兰下一站會是西甲或者意甲，而曼城將哈蘭德視為阿圭羅的曼城代替者。
阿圭羅年少成名 ，官方憑借著在馬競的宣布夏离出色發揮，得到了加盟曼城的阿圭機會 。自從在2011年來到藍月亮以來 ，罗今他為球隊出場384次打入257個進球，队视德为第替也是哈兰曼城隊史的射手王。其中最重要的曼城進球莫過於2011-2012賽季最後一輪英超 ，在對戰女王公園巡遊者時打入的。憑借那個進球 ，曼城獲得了勝利 ，也最終獲得了球隊隊史上第一個英超冠軍 。
阿圭羅與曼城的合同在今夏到期 ，盡管他渴望留隊，但是曼城卻一直沒有提供給其續約合同 。英國記者山姆如此寫道 ：“曼城曾告訴阿圭羅，希望他能夠在2020年年底前恢複健康，這將會幫助他得到續約合同 。但由於不同的原因 ，他未能做到這點 。”
而就在北京時間今日淩晨 ，曼城在官網宣布了阿圭羅會在今夏離隊的消息。就在隨後不久 ，阿圭羅也更新了自己的社交網絡媒體向曼城告別 ：“當十年曼城生涯結束的時候 ，你的心裏一定會浮現很多複雜情緒 。能夠在曼城踢完十個完整的賽季讓我驕傲與自豪 ，尤其是在現在的足球環境下 。十年來 ，我非常榮幸地成為球隊隊史最佳射手 ，而且能夠與所有熱愛這家俱樂部的人們建立深深的羈絆 。熱愛曼城的人們，你們永遠都在我心中 。”
“我在2011年加盟曼城 ，那時的球隊正在重建 。在球隊老板 、球員以及工作人員的一起努力之下 ，我們也成為了世界最佳球隊之一 。維持曼城榮光的這一任務 ，在這個賽季後隻能交給其他人了 。我會在本賽季剩餘的比賽中奉獻我的一切 ，爭取奪得每一個冠軍，盡可能地為球迷帶來快樂 。我已經做好了充分的準備去麵對這一切 ，我也會一如既往地用我的激情和職業態度 ，去迎接職業生涯的新挑戰，並不斷地攀升到最高的高度 。”
據悉 ，為了表達對阿圭羅的尊重 ，曼城將為阿圭羅豎立雕像 ，阿圭羅的雕像將和孔帕尼以及大衛-席爾瓦的一道 ，立在伊蒂哈德球場之外 。關於阿圭羅的下一站 ，英國媒體稱 ，西班牙與意大利的可能最大 ，意甲的國米與西甲的巴薩都是阿圭羅的選擇 。而在阿圭羅的接班人方麵 ，哈蘭德會是曼城的第一選擇。
