國足原定的天高賽程是由簡至難 ，先後對陣關島 、温考馬爾代夫 、验球员体菲律賓和敘利亞 。国足在突然做出易地舉辦的比赛決定後 ，中國隊需從蘇州前往迪拜 ，间隔並在抵達迪拜後進行大約24小時的时间隔離醫學觀察 ，等待核酸檢測的从天场变結果 。據中國足協透露，天高中國隊最快將在6月2日晚啟程 ，温考搭乘包機從上海飛赴迪拜 。因而原定6月3日與馬爾代夫的比賽肯定無法如期舉行 。
經協商之後 ，亞足聯將中國與馬爾代夫之戰推遲到6月11日，並對中國與菲律賓的比賽時間也進行了微調 ，從原定的6月9日提前至6月7日進行 。菲律賓隊5戰積7分排名小組第三 ，是國足爭奪小組第2名的直接競爭對手 。
賽程調整之後 ，國足的比賽間隔時間由原來的6天一場，縮短為4天一場 。而從迪拜未來兩周的天氣預報來看 ，每日最高氣溫都接近40℃ 。在這種天氣條件下打比賽 ，體能消耗非常之大 。如今 ，國足的比賽間隔反倒縮短 ，對球隊的體能無疑是嚴峻的考驗 。
