意大利《晚郵報》透露 ，兰后尤文和迪巴拉原本在去年10月就達成了續約一致。尘迪迪巴拉將得到950萬歐元的或免黑开年薪 ，此外還有250萬歐元的签国獎金條款 。迪巴拉的米蓝合同將從2022年夏天延長到2027年夏天 ，雙方承諾在今年二月份完成正式續約 。但在去年12月，迪巴拉經紀人要求加入肖像權條款 ，這使得雙方產生了分歧 。
在雙方的再次談判中 ，尤文不但沒有滿足迪巴拉的肖像權要求 ，反而降低了報價 。尤文開出的續約合同僅僅為期3年，年薪報價僅為730萬歐元 。這讓迪巴拉感到非常失望，他在上輪進球後不但拒絕慶祝 ，而且對著看台上的尤文高層怒目而視 。在賽後接受采訪時 ，迪巴拉明確表示 ，現在不願意多談自己的續約和未來 。
迪巴拉和尤文鬧僵 ，國米打算出手了 。國米開出的合同年限和薪資待遇 ，都比尤文更有誠意 。現在，就看迪巴拉的個人選擇了 。國米名宿阿爾托貝利 ，也力挺藍黑軍團免簽迪巴拉：“如果能簽下他 ，我甚至願意走路去都靈 。在我看來 ，迪巴拉是少數能瞬間改變比賽的球員之一 ，他擁有創造力 。他和尤文的合同隻剩下不到一個賽季了 ，我很希望在國米見到他 ，他是個出色的球員。當機會到來時 ，就不能讓它溜走。”
