正在阿聯酋沙迦備戰12強賽的国足中國男足國家隊 ，總算體會到了一些“主場”的全员强度優勢 ，球隊在當地時間3月20日前往沙迦體育場內場進行訓練 ，参加踩场這也是训练24日對戰沙特時的體育場 ，全隊24名球員全部到場參加了分隊對抗訓練 。分队
按照原定計劃 ，对抗中國隊在20日要安排一場熱身賽 ，国足希望通過有一定強度的全员强度比賽讓球員能夠更快更好地進入狀態 。而且 ，参加踩场計劃已經落實到了場地 ，训练熱身賽專門安排在沙迦體育場的分队內場進行 ，為的对抗也是能夠讓球員們更進一步熟悉場地與草坪情況。不過，国足聯係對手並不容易 ，全员强度因此權衡再三之後 ，参加踩场國足還是改成了訓練課，並安排隊內分隊對抗。
由於比賽開球時間已經確定為當地時間晚上19點 ，因此20日國足的訓練選擇18點從下榻酒店出發 ，到沙迦體育場開始訓練的時間為18點30分，完全模擬比賽時間模式 。在經過一係列的準備活動之後 ，教練組安排球員進行正常的技戰術演練 ，包括各種進攻套路等 。之後球員一分為二 ，進行11VS11的2/3場區內對抗訓練 ，為出戰沙特隊尋求最佳的陣容組合。這期間 ，教練組不斷地讓雙方球員互換背心，目的就是觀察各種搭配組合 。整個對抗持續了約25分鍾 ，強度不小 。對抗結束之後 ，教練組還安排了專門的定位球演練 。
20日的訓練持續了一個半小時 ，從整個情況來看一切都比較正常。在沒有了海外球員以及歸化球員之後 ，目前國家隊要求隊內24名球員都必須做好出場的準備 。而且目前隊中沒有傷病 ，這讓教練組比較安心 ，也希望通過最近幾天的訓練觀察誰的競技狀態更好一些 ，從而最終敲定首發陣容 。由於在分隊對抗中教練組一直不斷地在讓球員交換背心 ，所以暫時無法確定誰會首發 ，但教練組應該是已經心中有數 。
