對於這樣一個分組形勢 ，张稀哲踢張稀哲接受采訪時表示 ，日本開局非常重要 ，利亚“最重要的希望還是把開局踢好 ，前兩場比賽 ，有个越南我們分別打日本和澳大利亞 ，开局他們也是进步是小組前兩名球隊 。希望能夠有一個好的张稀哲踢開局，如果開局踢好了 ，後麵踢起來會比較順利。”
張稀哲認為 ，通過40強賽的比賽 ，國足的信心還是有所提升 。“四十強賽4連勝 ，我們球員們在場上的執行力和自信心都在積累 ，球場上形成一定的默契 ，這幾個對手 ，坦率講近幾年跟他們交流得都不多，主要還是看比賽去了解對手 ，另外 ，像越南這種球隊 ，現在進步都很大。”（搜狐體育裴力）
