上個賽季的续约冬窗 ，伊布回歸米蘭，瑞典回歸米蘭後 ，神塔伊布寶刀不老 ，固定工资帶隊米蘭在上個賽季後半段打出了氣勢 ，爆降也成為了上個賽季後半段發揮最出色的意媒意甲球隊 。也正是由於伊布的出色發揮 ，米蘭在去年夏窗才選擇與其簽訂了一份合同 ，而為了說服伊布留隊 ，米蘭給出了其700萬歐元的薪水 。
本賽季開戰後 ，伊布發揮依舊出色 ，截止到目前為止為米蘭在聯賽中出場15次 ，打入15球助攻1次 ，製造了16個進球 ，場均製造進球超過1個 。而米蘭也在伊布的帶領下目前在意甲位居第二位 ，僅次於國米 。
伊布出色的發揮引發了米蘭與其續約的熱情 ，《米蘭體育報》稱，米蘭會與伊布續約一年 。但是一個不容忽視的現實是 ，伊布雖然進攻強悍 ，但是卻傷病增多，這也成為了其續約的隱患 。
《慢鏡頭》的最新消息稱 ，考慮到伊布的年齡以及傷病問題 ，米蘭也做出了最後的決定 ，如果在接下來10場比賽裏伊布還會出現缺席的話 ，紅黑高層可能會開出一份新合約 ，400萬歐固定年薪 ，外加與出場數掛鉤的獎金 。400萬固定薪水這比目前伊布700萬歐元的固定年薪少了不少，但是如果加上獎金獎勵機製，總體薪水差距不大 。據悉 ，這個方案可能也會得到伊布的接受 。
