北京時間8月26日 ，瓜迪來自西班牙媒體《阿斯報》的奥拉消息稱 ，英超豪門曼城主帥在近日接受采訪時爆料稱，自宣站执在與曼城的年离2023年合同到期後 ，他會離開曼城休息一段時間 。城下未來瓜迪奧拉渴望成為國家隊主帥。教国家队

瓜迪奧拉與曼城的合同在2023年的夏天結束 ，而他是否會與曼城續約呢 ？答案是否定的 。近日瓜迪奧拉在接受采訪時談起了自己的未來計劃 ：“在曼城待了七年後 ，我不確定會不會繼續 。我想我會休息一下 ，停一陣 ，看看我們做到了什麽 ，重新審視激勵我的點 ，然後 ，在這個過程中 ，我樂意去執教一支國家隊 ，南美的 ，歐洲的 ，打一屆美洲杯 ，我想要這樣的體驗 。”
對於執教哪支國家隊？瓜帥沒有提及 ，但是對於執教巴西隊的可能 ，瓜帥表示非常困難 ：“巴西是一支了不起的球隊 ，有很多球員在同一支俱樂部踢球 ，而有些球員在俱樂部比賽中是對手 。巴西主帥當然是一個很棒的選擇 ，但是外國人很難接手巴西隊 ，很難管理他們 。”
