北京時間8月26日 ，瓜迪來自西班牙媒體《阿斯報》的奥拉消息稱，英超豪門曼城主帥在近日接受采訪時爆料稱 ，自宣站执在與曼城的年离2023年合同到期後 ，他會離開曼城休息一段時間 。城下未來瓜迪奧拉渴望成為國家隊主帥 。教国家队

對於執教哪支國家隊 ？瓜帥沒有提及，但是對於執教巴西隊的可能 ，瓜帥表示非常困難 ：“巴西是一支了不起的球隊 ，有很多球員在同一支俱樂部踢球 ，而有些球員在俱樂部比賽中是對手 。巴西主帥當然是一個很棒的選擇 ，但是外國人很難接手巴西隊 ，很難管理他們 。”
