北京時間6月25日 ，哥倫比亞足協官方網站發布公告稱，比亚巴西比赛將對哥倫比亞對陣巴西一役中主裁判的足协中的争议爭議判罰 ，正式向南美足協提交上訴 。判罚
當地時間2021年6月23日 ，提起2021年美洲杯B組第4輪 ，上诉巴西隊和哥倫比亞隊比賽打得火藥味十足 。哥伦最終 ，比亚巴西比赛卡塞米羅絕殺，足协中的争议巴西2-1逆轉哥倫比亞 。判罚比賽第77分鍾 ，提起巴西球員菲爾米諾打進扳平球。上诉在這一進球過程中，哥伦因主裁判內斯托爾-皮塔納幹擾皮球運行軌跡 ，比亚巴西比赛導致巴西隊獲得進攻機會，足协中的争议並取得入球 。失球後，哥倫比亞球員上前抗議 。哥倫比亞球員的爭論點是 ，皮球打在主裁判身上 ，主裁判應該吹停比賽 。哥倫比亞球員以為主裁判會吹停比賽 ，所以第一時間沒防守 ，愣神了 ，再去防守時，已經來不及了 。最終 ，主裁判和VAR助理裁判判罰進球有效 。
因此 ，哥倫比亞足協向南美足協申請，立刻禁止本場的所有裁判員再次執法比賽 。
