北京時間3月10日 ，费迪據英國《每日郵報》報道 ，南德曼聯名宿裏奧-費迪南德近期接到了一些曼聯球員經紀人的有经電話 ，譴責他批評某些球員的纪人行為 。
球員時期的致电費迪南德是曼聯的傳奇中衛 ，退役後 ，别再他成為了一名足球評論員。批评盡管早已離開了老特拉福德 ，联球但費迪南德仍心係這支他深愛的费迪球隊 。也正因為如此 ，南德這位紅魔名宿經常毫不留情地批評某些表現不佳的有经曼聯後輩 。根據《每日郵報》的纪人消息 ，最近有曼聯球員的致电經紀人給費迪南德打電話 ，譴責他批評某些球員的别再行為 。
對此費迪南德表示：“這樣的批评電話會令我感到很尷尬，其實我非常希望這些球員能夠在比賽中得到出場機會 。雖然我的自尊心會因此受到影響，但是我必須要糾正一點，如果我能得到一個進入訓練場的機會 ，我就會盡力把每一件事都做好 ，這就是我們應有的態度。”
“我知道有很多人都會去指責我，我從球員經紀人那裏接到的電話內容是 ，‘你為什麽要去批評某某球員 ？你不能這麽說 ，就算幫我一個忙 ，不要再批評他了。’我需要強調的是，我說這些話的目的 ，並不是出於報複和個人原因 。如果我是出於這樣的目的，在一開始接到電話時 ，我就會去道歉 。我的初衷是希望這些球員能夠做得更好 ，我不能因為這樣的初衷而道歉 。當我讚揚某些表現優異的球員時，沒有人會給我打電話說 ，‘謝謝你 ，你真的幫了我們一個大忙 。’所以 ，也請你們在我談論球員們不佳表現的時候，不要再給我打電話 ，因為我說的這些都僅僅是基於戰術層麵 ，而不是其他原因 。”
費迪南德表示 ，這些被他批評的球員應該端正態度 ，拿出更好的狀態證明自己 ，而評論他們的表現是他的本職工作 ，“我想 ，那些球員對我的批評應該這樣說 ，‘我知道你的意思 ，我很理解你的想法 ，我知道自己的問題所在 ，我會去改正 。’而不是 ，‘哦，你在公共的場合對我進行挖苦 。’我認為 ，球員本人應該經常自我批判 ，而不是去在意我每天都說了些什麽 。事實上 ，我的職業生涯早就已經結束了 ，評論他們的表現是我現在的工作 ，我做這樣的事情是為了得到相應的報酬 。球員們的工作是去訓練場上認真訓練 ，他們不應該過多地關注我的言論。”
