北京時間5月20日，吃曼惭愧據《鏡報》報道，消颁在經曆了俱樂部有史以來最糟糕的奖晚表現後，曼聯已經取消了最佳球員頒獎典禮的宴因意思晚宴 。
最佳球員頒獎典禮是尴尬曼聯已經舉辦了十多年的一個傳統節目 ，用意是不好向俱樂部的一線隊和青年隊中的優秀球員致敬 。慶祝晚宴每次都在老特拉福德舉行，没脸通常會安排在賽季的吃曼惭愧最後兩個比賽周中 ，但今年卻沒有舉行。消颁（值得一提的奖晚是 ，此前這個頒獎典禮+晚宴曾因為疫情中斷了兩年）
據了解，宴因意思是尴尬由於曼聯球員不好意思參加這個由官方電視台直播的節目 ，球員們普遍對如此成績之下舉辦晚宴感到尷尬 ，不好這就是没脸為什麽俱樂部高層們決定不繼續進行下去的原因。
曼聯經曆了一個可悲的賽季 ，他們現在無望獲得下賽季的歐冠資格 ，甚至就連歐聯資格也還要看末輪表現 ，但無論如何 ，他們已經預定了球隊英超時代的最低積分 。而他們最大的兩個死敵，曼城和利物浦則正在爭奪冠軍獎杯 。
