北京時間7月21日 ，王霜中國女足將迎來本屆奧運會上的被任首個對手巴西隊 。10日下午 ，女足中國女足在香河基地舉行了出征儀式 ，副队正式公布22人奧運會出征名單 。长透值得一提的队友是，除了老隊長吳海燕之外 ，因天王霜也被任命為中國女足的热出副隊長 ，而在接受記者采訪時 ，现中王霜透露 ，王霜近期的被任訓練非常刻苦 ，隊員也有中暑的女足情況 ，不過無論什麽樣的副队困難 ，球隊都可以克服。长透
談到被任命為球隊隊長的队友情況，王霜表示 ：“也就是前一段時間的事 ，我們是一個全新的女足隊伍 ，隊裏年輕球員也比較多 ，我作為中生代球員 ，賈指導讓我臨危受命 ，擔任一個副隊長 。”
談到近期的備戰 ，王霜表示 ，高溫是最大的敵人 。“天氣炎熱 ，有幾次氣溫能達到37 、8度，我們的訓練量並沒有減少 ，隊員也有出現中暑的情況 ，不過無論如何 ，大家都會想辦法去克服 ，畢竟我們有奧運會這樣一個目標去支撐 ，炎熱 ，訓練量大這些都不會成為問題 。”
到7月10日為止 ，中國女足的集訓備戰已經進行了一個月 ，按照賽程7月21日 ，中國女足將首先出場 ，迎戰巴西女足 ，王霜表示經過近一個月的調整 ，球隊的狀態目前正重新在向上走 。“剛集中的十幾天 ，狀態還是低迷的 ，通過調整，從一個下降的趨勢 ，開始重新往上走 。現在我們基本每天都是上下午兩練 ，上午力量，下午有球技戰術訓練 。”
本屆奧運會也是王霜第二次參加奧運會的比賽，在她看來如今的心態更加穩定 ，更加成熟 。“其實並沒有特別大的壓力 ，我們能夠獲得東京奧運會入場券不容易 ，希望能夠在奧運會上展現自己的勇敢自信的精神麵貌 。”（搜狐體育 裴力）
