廣州城足球俱樂部日前結束了一個月的广州假期 ，全隊在大學城訓練基地重新集結 ，城集成用全力備戰10月份的结目足協杯比賽以及12月的中超爭冠組比賽 。
本賽季中超第一賽季結束後 ，标足廣州城取得廣州賽區第四名 ，协杯獲得了參加第二階段爭冠組比賽的争冠中超資格 。從俱樂部的任务人更角度來說 ，廣州城今年已經完成了中超的已完任務 ，接下來的宽裕比賽可以在用人上更加寬裕，甚至可以大量使用年輕球員鍛煉 。广州相比之下，城集成用10月份開始的结目足協杯賽，廣州城可以向更好的标足名次發起衝擊 。
經過1個月的协杯休假 ，廣州城的争冠中超球員除了幾名外援 ，其他球員都已經回到大學城基地集結 。全隊第一天的訓練以恢複為主 ，接下來的兩周將以每日一練 ，一周五練的節奏備戰 。
主帥範加斯特在休假期間並沒有回荷蘭 ，他在中國進行了一次長途旅行 ，接下來他將以更飽滿的精神狀態帶領廣州城進行備戰 。
在重新集結後的首次訓練前，範帥感謝所有人的努力 ，也肯定了全隊在第一階段的表現 。為了滿足訓練需要 ，保持陣容的完整性 ，球隊也將在下周開始征調部分年輕球員上一隊參與訓練 ，其中包括備受關注的國青混血小將蘇宇亮 。
廣州城足球俱樂部董事長黃盛華代表俱樂部對球隊進行了動員和鼓勵 。他肯定了全體球員在假期內身體狀態的保持 ，對賽季目標提出了新的要求 。黃盛華表示 ，從10月13日開始的足協杯賽到12月開始的中超第二階段 ，對球隊來說至關重要，這是對富力本賽季的最終定位蓋棺定論的兩個多月 。
對於足協杯 ，黃盛華表示 ：“足協杯我們不可能去隨便對付 ，絕對不能打一兩場比賽就繳槍投降 ，今年有更好的時機去擁有一項榮譽 ，無論是投資人 ，俱樂部管理層還是教練組 ，我們都希望在足協杯上走得更遠。”他動員全體將士在足協杯上全力以赴 ，為最終的冠軍而戰 。
在聯賽方麵 ，黃盛華指出富力已經有兩年沒有和國安 、海港這樣的強隊交鋒 ，這是一次考驗 。他希望大家做好每一天的訓練和準備 ，保持好自己的身體狀態 。晉級爭冠組隻是完成階段性目標 ，他希望大家要全力以赴，在爭冠組的八場比賽裏踢出自己的東西，爭取獲得更好的成績。
疫情當前，全球很多企業都受到了影響，中國足球也麵臨著嚴峻的考驗。盡管如此 ，黃盛華依然表示富力集團對足球板塊的支持不會改變 ，“我們將繼續做一個很穩定的發展 ，會相對平穩地向前發展 。”
