更重要的問題 ，是C羅的年齡和薪水。C羅已經36歲了 ，他在尤文的稅後年薪為3000萬歐元 。如果C羅不接受年薪打對折的話，在目前經濟形勢下 ，沒有任何球隊能為C羅開出這種合同。即便未來有球隊追求C羅 ，那為他開出的也極有可能是降薪短約 。如果C羅不接受這種合同的話，那就隻能在尤文再踢完最後一個賽季了 。
