北京時間8月14日 ，费迪法國中衛瓦拉內正式簽約曼聯。南德内加瓦拉內曾表示 ，欢迎費迪南德這位曼聯名宿是瓦拉其偶像 ，而費迪南德在瓦拉內加盟後也歡迎後輩來到老特拉福德踢球 。自偶祝福
瓦拉內年少成名 ，费迪在齊達內的南德内加勸說下加盟了皇馬。在皇馬效力期間 ，欢迎瓦拉內也逐漸成為了球隊的瓦拉絕對主力 ，也是自偶祝福球隊連續三個賽季贏得歐冠冠軍的核心球員 。
在今年的费迪夏天 ，曼聯發起了對瓦拉內的南德内加攻勢 ，而最終瓦拉內也同意到曼聯踢球，欢迎在上個月月底 ，瓦拉曼聯宣布與皇馬達成協議 ，瓦拉內會加盟紅魔。而在半個多月的等待後 ，瓦拉內也正式通過了曼聯的體檢 ，成為紅魔的成員 。
費迪南德也幾乎在瓦拉內加盟曼聯的第一時間向自己的後輩表達了歡迎 ：“歡迎瓦拉內加盟曼聯，恭喜 ，勝利勝利勝利 ！”
需要指出的是 ，瓦拉內曾表示，自己之所以隻想加盟曼聯是因為他從小就是這家俱樂部的球迷 ，他的偶像是就是費迪南德 ，此番能得到偶像的歡迎 ，瓦拉內肯定會非常興奮 。
