北京時間8月13日 ，官方切爾西官方宣布 ，库加從國際米蘭簽下比利時前鋒盧卡庫 。盟切迪馬濟奧最新消息 ，尔西盧卡庫的曝转轉會費接近1.15億歐 ，且這筆交易不包括任何球員互換 。接近這是亿欧盧卡庫職業生涯第二次加盟切爾西 。
現年28歲的官方盧卡庫出道於比利時豪門安德萊赫特 。2011年，库加盧卡庫從安德萊赫特轉會至切爾西 ，盟切但是尔西盧卡庫當時未能在切爾西站穩腳跟 ，相繼租借至西布朗和埃弗頓效力，曝转隨後在2014年被埃弗頓正式買斷 。接近2017年 ，亿欧盧卡庫轉會至曼聯，官方在為曼聯效力兩個賽季後 ，於2019年加盟國際米蘭。2020-2021賽季 ，盧卡庫表現大放異彩 ，各項賽事出場44次，打進30球，助攻10次 ，幫助國際米蘭奪得意甲聯賽冠軍 。
作為國際米蘭的當家球星 ，藍黑軍團並沒有主動兜售盧卡庫的意願，切爾西方麵為了求購盧卡庫 ，開出了高達1.3億歐元的報價 。盡管國際米蘭無意出售 ，但是考慮到球隊目前的財政狀況 ，放走這位比利海鋒霸也是無奈之舉 。與此同時 ，盧卡庫也表達了想要離隊加盟切爾西的意願 ，他希望回到斯坦福橋重新證明自己 ，並且切爾西也給盧卡庫開出了豐厚的年薪 。最終國際米蘭隻能選擇尊重球員的意願，接受了切爾西的報價 。
值得一提的是 ，盧卡庫這筆轉會成為了切爾西隊史最貴的一筆引援 ，同時也是英超曆史上轉會費最高的一筆引援 。
