津門虎的不少球員 ，目前已經完成轉會手續 ，而轉會手續辦理的前提，就是津門虎和天津足協開具的證明 。不過津門虎有望複活後 ，津門虎未來的主管部門已經暫停為球員提供手續 ，雖然部分球員離開的勢頭不可逆轉，但津門虎很可能從其他球隊租借球員，以完成壓力不大的2021賽季 。

《天津日報》記者顧穎表示 ，新賽季津門虎主帥將由於根偉擔任 。她在微博寫道：“為了天津津門虎隊能夠順利留在中超 ，過去一周 ，可以用“夜以繼日”來形容 ，由天津市體育局整體統籌 ，參與工作的每個人 ，都付出了巨大的努力 ，伴隨著中國足協宣布三級聯賽準入名單，由於根偉掛帥，新的天津津門虎俱樂部進入正常運轉 ，教練班子搭建、組隊工作也已經基本完成 ，按計劃，明天球隊就將集中開始操練 。雖然一切來得有點晚，但是好在2021賽季中超聯賽 ，津門虎隊來了 。”不過今天（3月29日）下午 ，紅星新聞記者向天津足協方麵求證於根偉擔任主帥的事 ，對方表示目前仍未確定 。
江蘇足球俱樂部的多名主力目前已經官宣離隊，吳曦加盟上海申花 ，李昂加盟上海海港 ，顧超簽約浙江綠城 ，吉翔也已經開始跟隨魯能訓練 ，並在熱身賽中披掛上陣。按照規則 ，江蘇足球俱樂部無法獲得中超準入資格後 ，上賽季中超聯賽唯一一支直接降級的球隊滄州雄獅（原石家莊永昌）將遞補獲得中超資格。目前 ，有多名上賽季在江蘇隊和津門虎效力的球員正在跟隨滄州訓練 。
除了江蘇隊消失之外 ，中甲和中乙也有俱樂部退出。他們分別是泰州遠大 、內蒙古中優 、北京橙豐 、江蘇鹽城和深圳壆崗 。至此，2021賽季聯賽的準入大戲落下帷幕。按照目前計劃 ，中超聯賽仍是4月20日開賽 ，賽區分別為廣州和蘇州 。
