新賽季亞冠聯賽將於今天正式打響 ，亚足亚区延后率先進行的联官是西亞區爭奪正賽名額的資格賽，一周之後西亞區四個小組的网确小組賽也將全麵展開 。
東亞區這邊 ，认海仍存3月11日亞足聯就已經發布公告稱 ，港出冠东原定於4月中旬和西亞區一起開始的战亚小組賽全部推遲到6月底至7月初進行 。
3月18日，赛事因為江蘇蘇寧退出亞冠 ，亚足亚区延后亞足聯也就此專門進行了小組賽名額和資格對陣的联官調整 。同時透露 ，网确東亞區的认海仍存亞冠小組賽的時間基本定在6月21日至7月7日 。
雖然上海海港遞補山東泰山出戰今年亞冠已成定局 ，港出冠东但當時亞足聯官網上的战亚代表中超參加資格賽的球隊還是TBC（待定）。
昨天 ，赛事亞足聯官網的亚足亚区延后賽程終於進行了更新，上海海港正式出現在了資格賽的對陣表上 ，這就意味著亞足聯最終確認了上海海港俱樂部本賽季的亞冠資格 。
上海海港的亞冠資格賽時間尚未確定 。按照亞冠西亞區的安排，資格賽在小組正賽開始前一周進行，那麽海港隊就將在6月14日左右進行比賽。他們的對手是澳大利亞布裏斯班獅吼和菲律賓伊洛伊洛之間的勝者 。
上海海港如果晉級正賽的話 ，將進入在泰國進行小組賽的F組 ，因此這場資格賽也同樣會在泰國進行 。
鑒於國足的世界杯預選賽40強賽要到6月15日才結束，中超第一階段的後9輪比賽時間是6月21日到8月5日 ，不出意外的話 ，不僅僅是上海海港很可能會派預備隊和青年隊組成的陣容出戰資格賽和小組賽 ，另外兩支直接參加亞冠正賽的廣州隊和北京國安也基本將派“二隊”應付亞冠小組賽的比賽 。
此外 ，也有消息指出 ，因為參賽各國和地區複雜的防疫形勢 ，亞冠東亞區的賽事還有繼續延後的可能性 。
