數據顯示 ，算上本場比賽一係列糟糕表現 ，德國人在本賽季麵對29次絕佳機會時已錯過了21次 ，他也因此成為英超和歐冠兩項賽事中浪費機會最多的球員 。據統計 ，全場比賽，切爾西完成了11次射門 ，相比之下皇馬9次射門僅1次射中，銀河戰艦也因此創造了他們在歐冠賽場上自2003-2004賽季以來的第二差射正紀錄 。對此 ，賽後有網友戲謔道 ：“維爾納絕對是皇馬派來的臥底，他憑借一己之力給了皇馬希望！”
