麵對眾多俱樂部的追求 ，穆尼耶始終堅持首選為巴薩 ，並在此前接受采訪時 ，稱巴薩是“一生隻會經過一次的列車” 。不過導致此前轉會行動沒有達成的原因據穆尼耶自己透露 ，是巴薩方麵的報價不及預期 。
2022年1月和8月 ，穆尼耶一直都在等待巴薩，但是如果巴薩不能采取進一步的行動 ，據《世界體育報》報道 ，穆尼耶也將開始聽取其他俱樂部的報價 。曼聯 、米蘭 、尤文以及兩支來自倫敦的球隊都對穆尼耶很感興趣 。
