下半場荷蘭的進攻依舊少不了德佩，小將丹朱馬的國家隊處子球便是來自於他的策劃，當時德佩的搓傳找到韋格霍斯特，狼堡前鋒頭球擺渡讓丹朱馬獲得射門機會 。而在比賽快要結束的時候 ，德佩又助攻馬倫攻入全場最後一個進球 。盡管因為點球罰失錯過了上演個人帽子戲法的好機會 ，但是兩射兩傳足以證明德佩的實力。
而本場比賽的驚豔發揮讓德佩創造了很多紀錄。首先梅開二度讓德佩在2021年收獲了14個進球，打破了克魯伊維特在2000年創造的荷蘭隊隊史自然年進球紀錄 。此外這個紀錄放在整個歐洲足壇的話 ，也是本世紀自然年進球最多的歐洲球員，和2018年的盧卡庫以及2019年的C羅並列 。今年荷蘭隊的世預賽還剩下兩場 ，德佩完全有機會創造一個屬於自己的紀錄 。
本輪過後 ，德佩也憑借著35個國家隊進球追平範尼，成為荷蘭隊史國家隊進球榜的第7名 ，前麵是37球的羅本 。按照目前這個態勢，德佩是有可能追上小飛俠的。
而在本次世預賽的歐洲區射手榜上 ，德佩目前以9球獨領風騷 ，即便是萊萬 、盧卡庫以及哈蘭德等神鋒，也隻能位居德佩身後 。荷蘭隊目前以2分優勢排名小組第一 ，很有可能在錯過18年世界杯後直接晉級明年的卡塔爾世界杯正賽 ，而德佩在這其中功不可沒。
