C羅在2018年加盟尤文圖斯之後 ，更可格巴斑馬軍團的曼联歐冠整體表現是退步的 。最近兩年尤文都是尤文在16強階段抽到上簽 ，但爆冷被裏昂和波爾圖淘汰，追弟此外C羅的相比薪水對於尤文來說是個負擔。如今C羅的皇马换博去留問題是尤文圖斯當下必須考慮的 ，這不僅僅是更可格巴明年合同到期的問題 ，更重要的是作為尤文的核心 ，CR7的未來直接影響尤文圖斯的建隊計劃 。
此前C羅的經紀人門德斯被曝詢問過皇馬是否能夠安排葡萄牙前鋒回歸的事宜 ，但C羅的年齡 、過高的薪水以及當下皇馬的財力 ，都是阻礙C羅加盟的關鍵因素 。按照C羅的性格 ，未來很難接受降薪的結果，這就使得自己可能選擇的餘地變小了 。
不過曼聯多年來一直表示 ，隻要C羅願意重返老特拉福德 ，紅魔還是他的家 。《都靈體育報》認為C羅如果離隊的話 ，回歸曼聯的可能性更大 。而且紅魔會和尤文圖斯完成一筆互換交易，博格巴可能會重返都靈 ，加盟尤文圖斯。在C羅離開之後，尤文將伊卡爾迪列為鋒線的引援首選 。
但意大利媒體表示，C羅未來留隊的可能性為75% ，老婦人為了增強鋒線的進攻實力 ，要努力免簽今夏合同到期的裏昂前鋒孟菲斯-德佩 ，此外還運作米利克的轉會 。另外中場則是考慮簽約已經和尤文取得聯係的薩索洛球員洛卡特利 。
