北京時間4月17日 ，英媒英國媒體《鏡報》報道稱 ，滕哈即將上任的格决曼聯新帥滕哈格正在組建他的教練團隊，而範佩西則有可能加入他的定带定團隊。
《鏡報》表示 ，贾府加盟滕哈格已經決定將帶著他在阿賈克斯執教時的助教助理米切爾-範德加格一起加盟曼聯 ，而距離荷蘭人在場邊心髒病發作已經過去9年了 。曼联2013年 ，范佩米切爾-範德加格在一場與前東家馬爾蒂默的西待比賽中發病 ，當時他正在裏斯本執教貝萊嫩塞斯隊 。英媒之後 ，滕哈他安裝了一個植入式心髒複律除顫器，格决這個設備也幫助此前在歐洲杯賽場上經曆了心髒驟停的定带定埃裏克森重回綠茵場 。在過去三年裏 ，贾府加盟範德加格已經成為了滕哈格在阿賈克斯的助教得力助手。
據悉，滕哈格告訴曼聯 ，他希望範德加格能成為自己的助手 ，而不是前曼聯助教史蒂夫-麥克拉倫。1999年曼聯奪得“三冠王”時 ，史蒂夫-麥克拉倫是弗格森爵士的助手，他曾在兩次在荷蘭特溫特足球俱樂部執教 。他還曾執教過德比郡 ，目前該俱樂部的主教練是曼聯名宿魯尼。
因此，範德加格將跟隨滕哈格前往老特拉福德 。此前還有消息透露稱，滕哈格還想讓範佩西加入他的教練團隊 。目前 ，範佩西在費耶諾德青訓學院工作 ，正在考pro級教練證，他還沒有決定是否接受這個邀請 。2012-2015年期間 ，範佩西為曼聯出場105次 ，攻入58球。範佩西的兒子沙奎爾最近剛與費耶諾德簽訂了他的第一份合同 。另外 ，他還要考慮女兒蒂娜的職業發展 。雖然他的家庭情況讓加入曼聯教練團隊一事變得有些複雜 ，但範佩西對於能夠重返英超工作很感興趣 。
在滕哈格接手曼聯之後 ，紅魔臨時主帥朗尼克將成為球隊顧問。滕哈格此前曾表示 ，他很期待與朗尼克在老特拉福德共事 。
