基米希和拜仁慕尼黑的曝基續約工作在8月初就曝出將在近日完成 ，但雙方目前都沒有完成官宣 。米希據德國記者法爾克介紹 ：基米希實際上已經和拜仁慕尼黑完成了續約工作 ，已拜约因但隻是仁完因為拜仁名宿蓋德-穆勒離世 ，所以暫時沒有公布 。成续迟官
此前基米希和拜仁慕尼黑的老穆勒去續約工作進展接連被媒體曝光 ，甚至很多具體的世推合同細節也媒體披露出來 。基米希在續約工作上沒有意見 ，曝基拜仁則是米希願意為其年薪翻倍 ，達到2000萬歐元的已拜约因級別 ，這是仁完對基米希多年的忠誠和能力的肯定。
隨後德國媒體多次披露續約工作成功 ，成续迟官官宣在即 ，老穆勒去但是世推最近因為拜仁慕尼黑名宿蓋德-穆勒去世 ，所以早已完成的曝基續約工作官宣的日期還要向後延遲 。法爾克表示在這個時間節點上宣布基米希的續約有些不合適 ，並非是雙方的續約談崩了，但基米希和拜仁成功續約已經是既定事實。而此前拜仁慕尼黑總監薩利哈米季奇則表示 ，新合同是到2025年 。
